Four Seasons offer our adventurers a large range of comfortable accommodation from a luxury guesthouse to rustic wilderness cabins.

Our base location is in the South Island of New Zealand on the world-class golf resort nestled in the heart of some of the finest hunting and fishing available anywhere in the country.

In the field, we use several different hunting cabins throughout New Zealand for the various species hunted. Ranch-style farm stays and tented spike camps are often used on the very top of the mountains. Some hardcore hunters may even choose a sleeping bag or bivvy under the stars up at the alpine hunts. The choices are many and up to the individual hunter.

Four Seasons Base and Luxury Guest House

Located on the Eastern side of the South Island, only one hours drive from Christchurch’s Garden City.  Positioned on one of New Zealand’s top golf courses ‘Terrace Downs’ and nestled in the heart of some of the finest hunting and fishing available anywhere in the country.   The guesthouse views is some of the most beautiful scenery in the world.  Hosted by Robi an award-winning chef and his lovely wife Christine. The exquisite cuisine, ambience and friendliness is second to none. Each of the elegant guest rooms has super king beds, luxurious linens and a private bathroom with private patio overlooking neighboring sheep farms, the towering Southern Alps and rolling lush green fairways. Hapuku Lodge

Backridge Estate

Beautifully appointed, Backridge Station farmhouse has four bedrooms, 3 bathrooms and sits at the base of the hunting block allowing you to glass animals from dawn to dusk.  Side by side drive through lush native and manuka timbers, rolling open faces and through boulder strewn streams.  The 180 degree panoramic views of the Pacific Ocean and the majestic Seaward Ranges are truly magnificent.  Only a 15 minute drive to Kaikoura, Backridge farmhouse is a perfect location for non hunters and families.  Whale watching, swim with the dolphins, deep sea fishing, stroll lavender gardens, hike to the seal colony, mountain biking and spa treatments are only a few of the wonderful activities available.  The lower terrace has an organic fruit bearing orchard and fabulous olive grove.
